Joseph R. Myers. P.E., has practiced as a freelance registered professional engineer in North Carolina for many years to support himself and his wife, Mary, in their work with psychical research and in their efforts to promote greater understanding of the teachings of Eastern Religions, of reincarnation and of the relationship these teachings have with Christianity. He has written seven one-hour radio documentaries that have been broadcast by National Public Radio. He has also spoken about reincarnation, the Bible and related subjects on radio and television programs, at universities, colleges and high schools, to various civic clubs such as Rotarians and Civitans, and to many church groups. During World War II, he was an aircraft maintenance engineering officer and attained the rank of captain with a superior rating as an officer. He obtained an FAA rating as an aircraft airframe mechanic and power plant mechanic - the A and P licenses.He is the original inventor of the stressed skin-compression rib tent design featured as best on the market in the March 1980 issue of Popular Science. |
